The world had never seen an army like the German army of WW2; as Winston Churchill once said, "If it is to live in peace it must never see another". At its high point, Germany's conquests extended from the French Channel ports in the West to Stalingrad in the East. Wehrmacht "soldaten" were issued the M-1938 gas mask to defend against the blistering agents that had been so prevalent in the Great War. This German WW2 M-1938 GAS MASK is in very good condition, with some scratching and surface chipping to the left eye piece and its metal frame, respectively, some light scratching and surface chipping to the right eye piece and its metal frame, respectively, a spot dent in the middle front filter, some scattered surface chipping around the second from top edge of the filter, some scattered "browning" to many of the head straps, and with some scattered brownish dusting and age wear evident (most pictured). Otherwise, the gas mask is in fine shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or other damage to the tough OD rubber construction. Most interestingly, it boasts all of the original head and neck straps, sports the original amber tinted lenses, and is complete with the original OD finished and German military marked metal filter.
