German WWII Russian Front ornate inlaid wood chest as made for German soldiers by local craftsman as keepsakes of their military service on the Eastern Front, chest measuring 12 inches x 7.75 inches x 5.5 inches. Chest lid with hinged lid having applied diamond raised inlays, inlaid floral designs, and "Riga 1944" inscription commemorating the surrender of the important Eastern Front city of Riga to German forces in 1944, and four corner footed supports; very attractive and ornate German WWII art object, good age toning throughout, rare, very good plus condition. As per Ebay regulations, we cannot accept bids from or ship to Germany or any other location prohibiting such goods. Object is 100% original, pre1945 manufacture.
