This is an ORIGINAL German WWII K98 Bayonet and MATCHING Scabbard. The Bayonet has 85-90% original dark bluing and is in EXCELLENT, unaltered condition. The Scabbard has 85-90% original bluing that has been worn thin from use and is in VG+ to EXC condition. The Bayonet is marked on the blade ricasso, Elite - Diamant (in script) obverse 3923 over d, the top of the blade is marked 39. T are 2 proof marks on the side of the hilt and one on the release button, eagle over 218. the Scabbard is marked on the side near the throat, Elite-Diamant (in Script) over 39 and 3923 over d on the reverse side with a proof mark ,eagle over 218 on the scabbard tip.
