Listed is a very nice German WWII small automatic pistol holster. Within the German Army, t seemed to be a correlation between the rank of the officer & the sidearm he carried; the higher in rank, the smaller the pistol! Such sidearms were commonly privately purchased by these officers. This holster is in overall excellent condition. The material is brown pebble-grained leather with brown stitching. T are no identification markings on the holster, which was the norm with such examples. From the photograph of the obverse one can clearly discern the shape of the pistol once carried in this holster. It was undoubtedly in 6.35mm (.25acp), & had a very small grip. The likelihood is the pistol was of German design & manufacture. From the shape, it appears the pistol was 4 & 1/2 inches long maximum. Measurement from magazine floorplate to top of slide 3 inches. The front of the triggerguard would be about three inches from the rear grip & bottom of bow about one inch above the floorplate. A very nice example if you collect small german autos or militaria in general. Thanks. *****************************************************************************************************************TERMS & CONDITIONS. *IMPORTANT * PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BIDDING!!!Buyer to pay for shipping via USPS Priority mail w/Delivery Confirmation unless otherwise
