This is a WWll German Dress Bayonet, Fireman version, from what I could find in my research. I am by no means an expert in this field. Please look at the photos and you make your own conclusions. It is 15 3/4" long when in scabbard. The blade is 10" long from tip to black handle grips. It is made of a bright, heavier metal. There are no maker marks. The blade and tip are in great condition, just some minor scuffs and small surface rust spots that would probably clean up great. The bayonet handle does have a spot on it (see photo), not sure what caused it. The metal scabbard does have its original paint although it is coming off in numerous places (see photos). Thanks!
