Franking : Unused [legend] : Using Michel abbreviations for cover franking: EF=Einzelfrankatur (single franking), MeF=Mehrfachfrankatur (2+ of the same stamp issue, no others), MiF=Mischfrankatur (2+ different stamp issues) Our Item# : 60688 This is a one-of-a-kind item from the Deutsche Zeppelin Reederei (DZR), the German airship company from the 30s (since reincarnated) which operated the great Zeppelin airships such as the Hindenburg. This is the original file copy of the interior of the Hindenburg, affixed to a DZR file envelope with notes reverse, indicating that this photo had an issue of 1000 cards, dated 28 August 1936. No further cards were made, as the Zeppelin was of course destroyed in May of the next year. This card is distinguished, besides being on the DRZ envelope, by not having a white border.
