Much older than those I have read about in candy container books . The top of the winder reads:GIBBS TOY , PATD 9/1/96 & 3/19/07. The winder cap is metal , from top to bottom , with wood insert filler and wood around outside. T is a crack in wood outside that stops 1/8" in at inner metal cap. Screw-on spindle cap has no external rust, some interior tarnished spots. Glass free of chips and cracks.. Raised letters; Made In USA 1/2 oz AVOR. Winder seems to work, because of age did not want to wind too much. In amazing shape for it's age. NO PAYPAL
