Here we have a 1 owner uncirculated VERY FINE 100% original 1920 Gibson A-4 mandolin. The instrument is in SUPERB condition for being almost 81 year's old. It has the oval soundhole, a double bound body, dot inlay's, and the snakhead inlay on the headstock. We have cleaned the fretboard, put on a fresh set of Martin string's and set the mandolin up. She is ready to play. It play's very well with a VERY low action and she SOUND'S nice and bright with LOT'S of TONE as you would expect. There are NO CRACK'S anywhere on this mandolin. The binding is in perfect condition thruought the instrument. There is slight normal pitting in fret's 1 thru 5. The machine head's work perfectly. The finish is in AMAZING condition with just some light surface scratching here and there as seen in picture's and a slight strap rash on the back of the body that is hard to see. Serial# 54008 Mandolin even come's with 2 original key's to the case. The case is in excellent fully functional condition with what appears to be a newer handle. She weighs 2 lbs.
