This wonderful porcelain Leona patterned Gibson & Sons Ltd teapot is handpainted. The colorful orange, blue & white details are three-dimensional as you may be able to see in some of the photos. This teapot was made in Burslem, England. The teapot is black with gold trim and detail. T is a manufactured dent in the rim at 11:00 looking toward the spout from the handle under the glaze. T is also a manufacturing raw ware spot on the center bottom w the glaze didn't cover. Neither of these defects take away from the beauty or use of this teapot. We only mention them because we want you to have full knowledge of all the details of this product. This teapot shows no usage wear at all. This was purchased at a Sarasota, FL estate sale. The teapot measures 6 1/2" to the top of the lid. It is 5" at it's widest point. It is 8 1/2" from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle. The teapot weighs 1.46 pounds. This would make a great addition to any teapot collection or for afternoon tea! All of our items come from a smoke-free environment! Good luck in your bidding!
