This is a set of giraffe bone. The giraffe bone has been stabilized and colored. The dimensions is: 4-7/8" x 1-1/2" x 1/2" Giraffe bone is a very dense, durable material. Giraffe bones looks the same as mammoth ivory but is a lot cheaper. The color is also much deeper than mammoth ivory which gives you some room for working and sanding the handles. Ideally the giraffe bone should be worked from the bottom up. If you work it from the top you will loose some of the character (cracks).
