This auction is for 5 individual Gladding McBean / Franciscan / Catalina ashtrays, as a set. They are all in excellent shape and don't seem to have suffered any wear. Each ashtray is approximately 3 and 1/4 inches long and 2 and 1/2 inches wide. They do stack, if so desired. Three of the ashtrays--the glacial blue, flame orange, and green--are marked Franciscan Ware Made in California U.S.A. The very dark blue one has no mark that I can see. The coral/peachy one is stamped Catalina Pottery Made in U.S.A. According to my research they were designed to be tableware, to accompany a cigarette box. There is no box with this set, however.
