Description: Gladys A. Denney (American 1898-?); watercolor; mountain landscape. 19" x 24". Signed lower right. Framed under glass. Gladys Denney was born in Portland, IN. She studied at Cooper Union Art School, Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Art and the John Herron Art Institute. She exhibited at the Hoosier Salon and the National Association of Women Artists and won prizes at the Hoosier Salon and The Indiana State Fair. She taught fine arts at Manual HS, in Indianapolis beginning in 1930.
