This paperweight is made by Glass Eye Studio in Seattle, WA. Glass Eye Studio uses ash from the Mt. St. Helens eruption of 1980 in all their creations and all thier work is done by hand and not machine. This piece comes with its own blue padded velvet box with the Glass Eye Studio logo embroidered on the top in gold thread, a light base and it's own story card telling of the piece. This retails for about $140.00. This is all hand signed with the name of the piece and etched with GES (Glass Eye Studio) and 07 and #1998/2000. This is a limited edition piece and they are getting hard to find as they are no longer in production. Solar System is made out of crystal glass, and the outside of the weight is irridescent in color with greens/blues and it's slightly textured. Looking in you see the planets revolving around the sun. When on a light base, the weight actually looks kind of like the planets are moving. This piece is also slightly larger than the regular planets and is in a large box.
