Globe KD6G-1 Drone Aircraft. Model came from the estate of someone who was the Vice President of Globe Corporation Aircraft Division Joliet , Illinois and an aeronautical engineer for General Motors Corporation Defense Systems Division GM Technical Center, Warren, Michigan The wing span is 14 inches and the length of the airplane is 12 3/4 inches. The wings are discolored from age. The pedistal is mounted on a board from packing. That is cotton from the packing you can see under the noes of the plane behind the propeller. This is one of the original vintage models. The prop spins. Also included is a lot of 8 x 10 photograph negatives of a Globe KD6G-1. T are different views, shots of the engine and lots more. I forgot to mention the paint chipping on the wings. You can see this in the pictures. |
