21" Portrait doll Godey lady. This is a restoration doll. She has been completely redone head to toe and is in as close to what a new composition doll would ever be. This doll was beautifully restored by Mark Hartley fellow ebayer (oldird36) you probably know his Shirley Temple and Patsy restorations. He does beautiful work. I have referenced her character from the Madame Alexander book. She has a elaborate mohair wig, her blue sleep eyes are clear and work freely. This doll was restored to be the GODEY LADY of the 30's/40's portrait dolls in full composition with the very rare exotic face paint. The outfit on this doll is Alexander but is a modified dress from one of the newer portrait dolls. Alexander had a couple different names for this character, Godey Lady & Champs Elyse which are the ones I have referenced. I believe the newer jacqueline face doll was also called Godey Lady. If you could find the original doll in any condition you would be very lucky. They are very rare. This beauty is up for the bidding. She has her dress, netted underslip, bloomers, hose, ballet style shoes, handbag & hat. She is as pictured. Supersize the pics for all the details.
