The gold sucker is a high quality, custom made prospecting tool that will allow you to quickly sample areas for gold; and when significant amounts of gold are found, to collect larger amounts of gold bearing material. The barrel size of the gold sucker, 1 1/4 inches and the light weight, between 2 and 3 lbs. , allow you to use the gold sucker for long periods of time without hand fatigue. Some other hand dredges weigh between 5 and 6 lbs. Some have built on handles, and another on has an accesory handle that you have to purchase separately.With the gold sucker, you do not need a handle. The gold sucker is also the only hand dredge that has a selection of sizes of nozzles, so that if you are working a larger crevice, you have a larger nozzle, and as the crevice gets smaller, you have a smaller nozzle. The gold sucker is also the most affordable of the hand dredges, about a third the cost of other hand dredges. The gold sucker you purchase can be a custom made gold sucker; a gold sucker mini, which has an 18 inch barrel and is designed to be used underwater with a mask and snorkle; or a super gold sucker for moving larger amounts of material. If you choose the gold sucker, I custom make each gold sucker to fit you. If you are 5 foot or 6 foot 6, I make a gold sucker to fit you. The gold sucker is one of the easiest to use of any of the hand suction devices on the market, and works as well or better than most. I build each gold sucker like I am going to use it myself. The original gold sucker has a smooth taper from the adaptor to the barrel to minimize rock jams. The original gold sucker has a 90 degree handle for ease of use. If you use a hand dredge all day, a tee handle will get old real fast. You get 3 nozzles, a 1, 3/4 and 1/2 inch. With the 3 nozzles, you can clean out smaller cracks and crevices rapidly. The gold sucker uses an o-ring for its seal, and from what various prospectors have told me and from my own personal experience, the o-ring lasts a long time. The gold sucker will move much more material than any hand dredge that uses a collection chamber. The gold sucker does not employ any type of screen. When you are cleaning out cracks and crevices, you want to process all of the material. You do not want to lose a nugget because you did not clean out a crevice! And t are nuggets to be found.
