The coin shines in a combination of black and gold, finished with two precious metals: fully plated by Black Ruthenium and then refined in a complicated process with 999 gold. The challenge was to create a high detailed gold finishing on the black ruthenium. The coin comes in a black box with an individually numbered certificate printed in gold color.The obverse of the coin depicts a chinese Panda in its natural habitat eating Bamboo leaves. The coin is fully plated in black Ruthenium while the details of the coin are selectively plated in pure gold. On the bottom of the coin we find the weight and the silver fineness. The reverse of the coin depicts the beautiful Temple of Heaven in Beijing and the year of issue.Background & HistoryRuthenium and Platinum GroupRuthenium is a chemical element with symbol Ru and atomic number 44.
