The search for an actress to portray Scarlett took two years and over 1,000 auditions. Personifying the Southern belle of antebellum Georgia, Scarlett attends a barbecue at a neighboring plantation, Twelve Oaks, where she declares her eternal love for Ashley Wilkes, promises to marry Charles Hamilton, and meets the dashing Rhett Butler. Her gown is white voile decorated with a green floral print, with the bodice embellished with lace ruffles and a white lace stole. A petticoat, bloomers, a woven hat with green ribbon trim, plus a golden suite of earrings and a necklace accented with faux coral complete her look.
