This is a beautiful Asian carving of a family of three goats. The figures are carved from a single piece of Lapis Lazuli. The oriental style base is mahogany. The Lapis is a true blue, not quite as light and tending toward turquoise as the pictures may suggest, and with lots of the gold flecks throughout. The piece is in perfect condition and was appraised about ten years ago at between $400 - $600. Standing on the base the piece measures 5 inches high and 6 inches wide. A fine addition to any collection.
