Simply beautiful Desvres (Fourmaintraux Courquin) platter or bannette in the corne d'abondance pattern of faience decoration. Deeply scalloped edges give this piece a very distinctive look and appeal. The flora and fauna painted on this nicely sized piece are exquisitely executed -- the bird, butterflies, flowers, and cornet are beautifully rendered and the colors are bright and lush. This lovely piece measures 15" long by 9 1/2" wide. Except for two cracks in the back of one handle (see picture) which do not go through to the front, this piece is in great condition. I would be happy to provide more pictures to serious buyers. Please note: this is a Desvres (not Quimper or Malicorne) piece.
