Offered is a beautiful Flow Blue Sugar Bowl in The Rhine Pattern. This piece measures from base to tip of finial - 7.5" in ht. Wonderful Double Primary Lines above the mid apron portion. The blueing is spectacular both in shading and tint. The colors are bold and brilliant. The lid is without any damage. Great blue tint to the china. The same wide leaf is found on the lid as well as the body. The lid is hallmarked with the reg. mark and the Rhine mark- interior. NO wear . NO damage. NO crazing. The body is gorgeous - Chinese elements in the center body - large buildings and a wonderful arched bridge. Both lower corners display elaborate Asian styled buildings. The trees are large and have Asian flare . One Gondala is on the river with a loan driver. Pattern is clear and concise. The base is hallmarked as well - see pic. T is only one tiny miniscule flake on the interior rim of the body and one interior rim kiln fire mark. Otherwise pristine. Clean and well kept. Both handles are embossed with a line design which gives into a feather like motif. Both are perfect. Produced in the early 1800's . I know Thomas Dimmock produced Rhine as well as Davenport. Davenport did most of his with the double primary lines . He produced Amoy and Rhine. This piece dates according to the reg. mark 1844 and Dimmock produced his line between 1829 and 1852 hallmarking his pieces with a D. Just a wonderful pristine piece all the way around. Both in quality and condition alike. Please email with any questions. This piece will be double boxed and will require insurance. Thanks for viewing this auction.
