This is a superb handled Charger that is exquisitely and beautifully painted and signed by artist Nissiq or Missiq. This artist has painted exquisite Violets and their big clumping leaves dritting around and over this Charger with beautiful tones of purple. The artist has painted the one handle purple and the other gold - a practice I've seen occasionally by the early China Painters and one which is very captivating. The artwork on this piece is really excellent; with minute attention to deatil and color. This is painted so very well, it looks professionally painted. The colors are top-notch and the gold is excellent. The Charger measures almost 12" from handle to handle. It is in outstanding condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or color fading. The colors are extremely rich and strong and the gold looks great. It is marked with the old Rosenthal mark with crossed swords and crown; 1898-1906.
