OLD ITALIAN LABEL MASTER VIOLIN 1938 Label Reads: Minglll Alberto Discepolo di Orselli da Ferrara Fece in Pesaro Anno 1938 Note: This violin is being relisted because the buyer tried to change the payment options we accept. Please note that payment is expected within four days of auction close. Here is an absolutely stunning Italian labeled master instrument. Artistic scroll work, inlaid purfling, beautiful curled maple back and ribs. This violin has a beautiful antique appeal. Beautiful brown oil varnish. Estimate age to be late 1800's- early 1900's.Medium to fine grain spruce top. Sounds and looks just magnificent. Big bold G string and brilliant upper register. Would make an excellent instrument for the advancing violinist or soloist. Two very minor professionally repaired hard to see or feel cracks. One on the upper bass side bout at the top and one on the bottom of the top running below the chinrest. Both are cleated and solid. No sound post or bass bar cracks.
