Gorgeous Nippon Hair Receiver Roses & Gold - MINT! Search Description: This fine translucent porcelain hair receiver is decorated with roses and heavily embellished with gold moriage and embellishment. The piece measures approximately 5” in diameter and is 2 ¾” tall with the lid, one of the larger hair receivers made in the period. Condition: This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. It is absolutely perfect, to the point that it looks like it was kept tucked away in a display cabinet rather than being used. Maker: The piece has an above glaze blue mark, #52 in Van Patten’s text, dating the piece to ca 1891 – 1921.
