This is an awesome deco smoke set that is marked, 'Hinode Japan' with a crown and flowers, see photo. I couldn't find this mark in any of the three 'Made In Japan' or the 'Noritake' books I have. She is painted so beautifully that I believe she could very well be Noritake, see photos of her face. She measures about 7 1/4" high and the stand she is on is 8" across the base. The base is made of brass with a filigree design all of the way around and has a raised brass holder for the ashtrays. She is wearing a colbalt blue dress shirt with a white skirt with painted colbalt flowers outlined in gold. She has her hand resting on her colbalt jacket that is laying on top of the suitcase she is sitting on. The smaller trunk, (the cigarette box) that is sitting next to her has her small dog on top that doubles as the finial. I tried to get different pictures of her in outdoor light and in indoor light so you can see how beautiful she really is. She is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, but she does have all over crazing from age. She has lots of gold trim, but it is worn off in different places as you can see in my photos. The trunk that is sitting next to her with her dog on top is also in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, but it too has all over crazing.
