Lovely S Kirk & Son, Co. sterling repousse footed bowl in excellent condition! This is one a two that I am listing this week, please see my other listings for the second. A classic compote design which I have used on my table for serving deserts. I have collected a large set of them and I am selling my extras. They aren't the classic Kirk sherbet but they work beautifully for that purpose. I use mine for sherbets, ice cream, parfaits and italian ices. Of course they are great for candies, guest soaps in the bath, dips and lots of other great uses. The repousse detailing on this bowl is in excellent condition, the fine line detail to the leaves, stems and petals to the flowers is crisp and sharp. T are no dings, dents or scratches. T is a lovely time acquired darkened patina that I will leave intact. Any polishing will be up to the new owner. The bowl measures 5 inches across at the top and stands 3 inches tall. It is marked S. Kirk & Son, Co. 925/1000 and pattern number 408. The base is solid sterling not weighted and measures 3 inches across. The bowl is just over 1 inch deep.
