This is a beautiful and entirely genuine 40's lidded sewing basket - the beautiful shaped basket has a strong plaited wicker decoration around the top and again around the border of the lid, a ply base and then finished with a lovely red plastic ribbon wrapped handle. ~ In terms of condition it is absolutely glorious for its age with no splits or breaks or other damage to be found at all - it is lovely and clean and fresh. It's a really magical vintage 'find' and just perfect for all your sewing or knitting nick-nacks and other paraphenalia. It measures - 10" over the base but 12" over the top of the lid - it is 10" high to the very top of the slightly domed shaped lid and it measures a full 36" around the circumference of the lid . Postage to mainland UK is £4 ~~~~ I always do my very best to describe my items accurately, highlighting anything which I would consider real damage and usually include at least 6 pictures.
