Gorgeous Iradj Moini Bug Brooch Pin This incredible vintage bug brooch is signed by Iradj Moini, the premier couture jewelry designer for Oscar de la Renta. His designs were featured in the TROP exhibit at the Louvre and are highly sought after by collectors world wide. He designed a series of pieces for the movie "Bugs Life" and many other beautiful pieces. His pieces are one of a kind using top quality stones. This huge bug measures 3" long not including the very long antennae. The antennae measure a full 5" from tip to tip!! The hand set crystals all have fabulous sparkle to them and the eyes are a stunning aqua color. The glass body has the look of marble the color of milk chocolate. Not for the faint of heart!!! The finish to the frame is showing a small amount of age which leads me to believe that this might be one of his earlier pieces. T is a spot of finish loss on the underside of one of the antenae that measures approx 5 mm long. I have not done any cleaning or polishing to this piece and will leave that to the discretion of the collector. In excellent vintage condition!!!
