A lovely GORHAM sterling silver naturalistic deisgn OLIVE DISH in the form of an open olive, made Circa 1880. The bowl is in the shape of an olive cut open and has a textured pitted effect to simulate the olive skin. The handle is made of a stem and three very lifelike interlocking leaves. The bowl measures 5 1/2 inches in length and has a nice solid feel in the hand. The bowl is marked with the GORHAM hallmark (lion, anchor, date letter) , STERLING and 515. The bowl is in very good condition with no wear to the decoration or leaves. T are no dings or dents or any other damage. It's all ready for your olives! A very pretty and unusual piece of Gorham novelty sterling silver. Please see my other auctions for more good American sterling silver including a set of Gorham medallion spoons and a Gorham medallion punch ladle, two Tiffany strawberry pattern servers, a Gorham cats head bowl and a set of French sterling silver frogs legs eaters! I will also be listing some rare sterling matchsafes in the next week or so, including probably the best Gorham acid etched aesthetic sterling matchsafe you will ever see! I do not send second chance offers so if you receive one, it's not from me. If you have less than 10 positive feedbacks could you please email me before bidding. Thanks very much!!Please email any questions and thanks for looking!
