You are bidding on a Mint in Box (MIB) Gotz Artist Numbered limited Edition "Sara" doll (poupee) dressed in beautiful dupioi silk pink dress with an embroidered organza overlay to make her look very romantic. Her whispy blonde hairs feels silky soft suggesting it may be real human hair. Sara wears a matching headband and her white leather beginner walking shoes although she still prefers crawling. She is absolutely beautiful with lovely breath-taking blue-gray eyes. Sara wouldn't go anywhere especially to bed without her beloved fully-jointed "Teddy House" teddy-bear . This fully soft-bodied vinyl doll measures about 22" tall and has been kept in her original box, with her original clothing, and original tags since time of purchase (see pic). She was aquired by an avid doll collector and she appears to be in near factory new condition. The box is in very good condition (some rubbed corners). This beautiful piece will be a wonderful addition to someone's doll collection. She originally retailed and was purchased for well over $600. She is an artist numbered doll designed by German artist Hildegard Gunzel numbered 431 of a limited production of only 1000 in 2003 (see pic). Hildegard Gunzel graduated from the German Master School for Fashion Design in Munich and started working as a designer in the fashion and jewelry industry. In 1972, she began making dolls as a hobby. At first she experimented with different modeling materials. Hildegard's dolls are always dressed in exquisitely detailed costumes using luxurious fabrics in pastel colors and suggest a very romantic mood. She had 25 years of experience sculpting dolls by the time she produced this beauty. Over the years, she has won international recognition and numerous awards for her designs, including the 2002 DOTY (doll of the year) "Publics Choice Award for Holly from the 1st artist collection she created for Gotz.
