The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck New York: Viking Press First Edition Twelfth Printing March 1940. 619 Pages Very Good Condition hard cover. Binding is intact. No marking at all in the book. Original dust jacket is very good with correct price and printing slug. This edition has the rare blue printing on the cover rather than the normal brown and the 5 page publishers note. “An amount of 12th printing copies which were still in production on April 14th 1940 received an additional Publisher's Note, commemorating First Anniversary (first printing was issued on April 14, 1939), the cloth of those special Anniversary copies received decorations printed in blue instead of brown.”
