A wonderful example of the Period, with an expanding star base and the sides have alternating rows of stars and raised diamonds. The glass gitters like sunlight on water and is sharp to the touch. This 8" bowl is identified as pattern 103-584 in the 1915 Covington (KY) Cut Glass Catalog (photo - top row in the center). The piece has a 3/8" thick cut blank, is 3 1/2" high, and weighs a substantial 3 pounds 6 ounces. The condition is great - 3 pinsize nicks on the rim interior. A very nice bell tone ring when thumped. This bowl will set off your display case or your holiday table nicely. Guaranteed as described by this ACGA member, who is making room in his personal collection for other pieces.
