Exhibitor's medal from the 1851 Great Exhibition at Crystal palace. Bust of Prince Albert, the patron of the exhibition by W Wyon RA. On the edge is the category of the exhibit, this is "United KingdomClasses 12 & 15 . No. 15" . The reverse has the word EXHIBITOR, the legend " Exhibition of the Works of Industry of all nations " and the date MDCCCLI .There are surface scratches and dents and Albert appears to have gained a scar on his cheek. but the condition is otherwise good apart from surface dirt and three spots of blue (electrolytic?) corrosion on the bottom edge perhaps where it has been resting in a steel stand .
