I have for sale what i believe to be is a scarce 1883 Exhibitors pass . The pass isfor the Great International fisheries Exhibition London 1883. Pass appears to be made from a silvered white metal,maybe pewter. It has a Lion and a unicorn holding up a shield to one side,with wording around edge. Reverse side has the wording ,Exhibitors Free Pass Engraved in Lozenge is the name A.George.to the base of this are engraved fish . Around the edge in tiny lettering is the wording, Waterlows Limited.London wall,london. The pass comes housed in its original velvet and silk lined box which carries the makers name,Waterlow & sons Limited Die sinkers & Medallists London. Box even retains ribbon for lifting up medallion,does have a tear to it. Old patch of glue residue to velvet. Box even retais tiny hook and eye fastener to front. Slightly scuffed box. Medallion is very finely detailed and in very good condition. A tiny raised area just on the letter E in Exhibitor, Nothing to concern. size - 4.7cm in diameter. A good collectable item.
