Great Sterling & 14K Gold Pietra Dura Mosaic Victorian Pin No Reserve Up for auction is great sterling pietra dura pin that is probably from Italy. The tiles are set in black onyx and set in a sterling frame. T is a row of 14k gold inlay pieces of gold along the top of the pin, framing the flowers. The colors are very pretty and subtle. T is one petal that is missing a tile and a teeny speck from the center of the other flower. The pin tests gold and sterling. See photos. The pin is just about 1" in diameter and 3/16âe deep. It has a warm unpolished patina and offered at no reserve. The pin clasp has probably been replaced, as it would have originally had a âeoeCâe clasp.
