A very cool plane once coveted by collectors. This plane features a really awesome feature of having an adjustable mouth which allows it to work both as a regular duty jointer and a long panel smoother. Its very sharp and is set up as a Smoother/ Jointer already. Just put it to wood and you'll have a cool user most other guys won't. This plane will need to have the tote reglued and the knob has a hairline crack in it which will not affect its function. The irons on these planes are massively thick and have great edge retention so as a user you should really enjoy it. Not many planes this size had an adjustable mouth feature and were typically more for rough jointing work. Another great feature of these early planes is the thick castings which provide very little flew during use and as the old saying goes once in motion..... the mass will help prevent the plane from stopping due to a deep cut or a knot.If you have any questions or need additional photos please feel free to ask.
