Two-line black overprint "Hellenic Post Smyrna". In 4-05-1919 Smyrna was occupied by the Greek Army. To cover the needs in postage stamps of the Postal sector of the Base of Smyrna (T.T. 902) a set of stamps was issued on 13-06-1919 including seven postage of 1913-1916. These stamps where in circulation for one day only and the remainders were burned. It is worth noting that the proceeds from the sales of these stamps were 70 drachmas only. This indicates that less than 70 sets were sold in total. Please see scan and my other items listed under other categories by Paypal accepted. European buyers can also pay by bank draft.
