Iridescent Calcite Keokuk Geodeclosed geode dimensions: 2 in X 2 in X 1-1/4 inweight: 2.4 ozThis small but gorgeous Keokuk geode is lined with brown, pseudocubic calcite crystals which have ingested iron goethite making them iridescent. The brown calcite crystals' faces reflect bright green hues. A later growth of clear rhombic button calcite crystals grew atop the brown adding to the geode's contrasting crystalline beauty. This outstanding geode was dug from shale exposure in Brown County, Illinois.I specialize in top quality, mineralized Midwestern USA Geodes.My passion is collecting, buying, trading, and selling these geodes.
