Up for sale is a #14 Griswold Large Slant Logo 742A X-Brace cast iron griddle in excellent condition. The griddle’s cooking surface measures 13 1/2" in diameter and features a bail handle. The milling marks are still visible- sits level, no wobble, no warping, no pitting, no rust. Its inside surface lies perfectly flat - no upward crown or downward bow - the cooking surface retains its original factory mirror smooth, hand polished finish. Fully functional and ready for use. The griddle has been painstakingly and thoroughly hand cleaned of all residue using only natural methods - no chemicals, no oven cleaner. The surfaces were then lightly coated with food grade Flaxseed Oil and gradually heated to produce a nonstick seasoned surface. The hand crafted quality of this vintage Griswold griddle is unmatched when compared to poorly finished new cast iron cookware. This functional piece of history will provide a lifetime of fine cast iron cooking, a great addition to your hearth, or a nice showpiece for your collection.
