Griswold Cast Iron #10 Pop-Over or Muffin Pan – #948 – Cleaned and Seasoned This excellent Griswold pop-over or muffin pan has been meticulously cleaned and seasoned and is ready to join your cooking staff the day it is received. There is minor staining from age, use, and storage. There are no chips, breaks, cracks, repairs or damage of any kind to the piece. There is no pitting inside any of the cups. The 11 cups each measure 2 5/8” wide at the top and 1 ½” deep. This could also easily be used as a muffin pan even though Griswold refers to it as a pop-over pan. Some have said it is great for Yorkshire pudding. It sits flat on a hard surface without any wobble. The piece is 11 1/8” long and 7 5/8” wide. This piece was originally made sometime between 1910 - 1950. The back side is marked: No. 10 Griswold Erie PA. U.S.A. 948 I clean all of my cast iron back to the original gun metal gray casting or as close as I can. This way it has no residue or contaminants from previous use or storage. The new owner can use with confidence in their safety. I only season with one coat of solid shortening in the oven for about three hours. This is why my cast iron does not always appear black.
