Please consider the photos as part of the description. Thank you.**Well, I thought we were done with this event, but I found yet another one! You will see a handful or so posted this week...I HOPE, then, that I am done for a while.This pan was made by the Griswold Mfg. Co. in Erie PA between 1920 and 1930. The skillet carries the slant Griswold logo. It is marked as shown on the photos: CAST IRON SKILLET 8 ERIE PA. U.S.A., and the pattern number which is 704 R. It has a heat ring.The pan measures 10-1/2" in diameter and it is 2-1/8" tall. The pan does not sit flat. You can see on the bottom of the pan where there is kind of a raised line; this is from sand shifting during the casting process. Because of that, I can make the pan rock when I press in certain areas. Please take a look at the vid embedded below. This pan is best suited for baking, cooking on a grill or grate, or on a cooktop with raised burners.The cooking surface has slight scratches and signs of use.; it is quite nice. read more
