This item up for bid is a rare Griswold lid, 10 ¾" Chrome stating "Washington Bi-Centennial", with an oval likeness of Washington and the dates 1732 - 1932 on the lid. On the inside of the lid is the Griswold trademark, with "Patented Sept. 22. 1925", and "Pat'd Feb. 10. 1920." It is in good condition, very minor pinhole rust. T is one minor area of rust along edge, as shown in photo. It has not been cleaned, it is in as-found condition but certainly can be cleaned up if the buyer decides to do so. The cast iron skillet is a Griswold #8 that fits the skillet perfectly. This item is referenced in Griswold/Wagner reference book as item number 1056. This is a rare collector's find, as t are not very many of these items that are available for sale. Don't pass up this unusual opportunity to own a real collector's item!
