This is an original 11" by 14" title Lobby card movie poster for the classic 1947 classic musical comedy, Copacabana! Starring Groucho Marx in a film without his fellow Marx Brothers Harpo and Chico (they had just made a Night in Casablanca. a year ago). Costarring Brazilian singing star Carmen Miranda, plus Andy Russell, Steve Cochran, Gloria Jean, and the Copa Girls! Lobby cards were issued way back when to movie theatres to help market and promote the film,. And card #1 of the 8 card set is the title card, most popular with collectors because it featured a miniature version of the onesheet art! This one is in generally fine PLUS condition for a vintage 1947 title card, some border smudging in spots, some typical yellowing with age, otherwise a great vintage title card!
