This is for a group of 3 very large Genod pipes. Pipe #1 is a straight-shank billiard shape. Pipe #2 is a straight-shank apple shape. Pipe #3 is a half-bent apple shape. All three have vulcanite stems and all three are very lightly smoked. All of them exhibit very nice straight/flame grain with minimal washout.The company that makes Genod pipes was founded by Comoy in 1865 in St. Claude, France. St. Claude became a center for pipe making. Both the briar pipe and the classic shapes have their origins in St. Claude.Condition notes: All 3 pipes are in excellent condition and appearance, and have been lightly smoked. There is minor oxidation on the stems and minor wear around the buttons. Mortise areas are clean. All pass the "pipe cleaner test."
