For auction is this General Railway Signal Company Type K, DC Flasher Relay, GRS Drawing Number 53004-34 GR.7. This is the type of relay that is used to make railroad crossing lights flash. It is furnished with four sets of metal to metal contacts for controling the lamp load and one set of coil control contacts. The flash rate on this relay is 40-45 flashes per minute and has a coil resistance of 400-400 ohms. This particular model was desigend for operating on 10V DC. The original inspection date on the tag reads 9-25-47. I have cleaned this relay up and it looks pretty good. T is a slight amount of wear on the contacts, but absolutely nothing that will hinder its operation. It has been tested and found to be in good working order. T are no cracks or chips in the glass or bakelite and it comes with the space saving wall mount type brackets. About the only negative thing i can say is that the cloth covering over the coils is not in the greatest shape and on the one side it is partly missing. This also will have no effect on the operation of the relay whatsoever. If you need a good flasher relay to add to your collection or to make a set of railroad lights flash, then look no farther because this is it! Flashing relays only show up on ebay from time to time, so act now and bid today. I have a hard time getting these myself, as read more
