Hello and welcome to Simply Tattered Primitives. Miss Kittie I love vintage dolls and I love the Christmas, so I have decided to start my season with some dolls from my favorite doll artists. Today it's Venna's Mercantile's, my rendition of Miss Kitty. Miss Kitty is made from muslin which has been put thru several prim processes. She is 20" tall and is weighted to sit or can be hung. Her face is hand stitched and she has a needle stitched nose with long wiskers. She is wearing a barn red/tan striped dress accented with grungy cheesecloth and a rusty star. I have made Miss Kitty a Christmas stocking which I filled with pine and candy canes. I accented the stocking with a metal quote "the journey awakens the soul". The stocking is made out of grubby snowflake cotton I added a Christmas 1900 tag ,The stocking with the contents is 9" high. I have dusted this kitty with cinnamon and she is grubbed in my delicious holiday spice...she smells wonderful. The photos do not her justice she looks so much better in person. Place her on a shelf give her as a gift, you will just love this cat and the details I have put into making her. Other items in photo are for display only.
