The pen has a soft,pliable ink sack (bladder to hold the ink) and has been cleaned really well and polished. It looks good. It's hard to believe that it really qualifies as an antique. T are beautiful engraved imprints on the barrel as well as the clip (and the nibs) with the Esterbrook name. The lever filler mechanism works like new and t's a set of instructions enclosed showing how to fill this and many other fountain pens.The end jewel(s) are perfect and the pen is guaranteed to be in working order.The pen is 4.75-5" closed. Also included in this antique writing package, t are 2 Mint nibs made by Esterbrook, the 2668 for Medium Writing, in it's original box and a second mint in box nib, the 1461 for a finer line. The nibs are interchangable and have never been used. They are "new/old stock." So you have 2 distinctive types of nibs, one leaving a rich, fluid line and the other fine enough for any project which requires getting the ink on the paper quickly and which dries quickly. Both nibs screw right in to the end of the pen in seconds so it's really like having 2 pens! Also included for you are the following: 1.instructions for filling about a dozen different types of fountain pens; 2.Care and cleaning instructions; 3.
