This is a nice Guardian Service Ware Octagon serving tray or griddle. This trays structural condition is flawless . This is the famous Hammer forged aluminum Guardian Service Cookware manufactured by the Century Metalcraft Corporation of Los Angeles , California , from the mid 1930's to mid 1950's. In 1956 the plant burned down and the company went out of business. The cookware is stamped on the bottom GUARDIAN SERVICE with the KNIGHT HELMET LOGO with three stars on both sides, the latest version cookware. The cookware is the Octagon Tray or Griddle Skillet Pan with handles. The griddle measures 13" outside width, and 12 3/8" width inside and is 3/4" deep and weighs approx. 3 1/2 lbs. The cookware is in outstanding condition . This griddle also contains two of the original heavy plastic handles that were meant to go along with this griddle.
