You are bidding on GUARDIAN SERVICE WARE TURKEY ROASTING SERVICE PLATTER Includes: (1) Aluminum Guardian Service Pot (1) Glass Guardian Service Lid (1) Aluminum Guardian Service Lid / Base Overall this unit measures 12"x 7" VERY RARE TO FIND ONE WITH THE ORIGINAL GLASS LID Guardian Service Cookware Guardian Service is heavy duty hammered aluminum cookware that includes both glass and aluminum lids. It is vintage cookware that was manufactured in the 1930's through 1956's by the Metal Craft Corporation. The aluminum base was patented because of its ability to allow for uniform heating and the high dome construction of the lids allows the food's moisture to condense while cooking, and then drip back down on the food. This allows the food to cook in its own juices for additional taste and nutrition. For this reason, Guardian Service was advertised as waterless cookware. The glass lids are made of thick durable oven glass. Guardian service has lasted and will last for generations.
