This is a vintage antique brass "Guy's Dropper" carbide miners lamp made by "Shanklin Mfg Co". It is marked "MANUF'D BY SHANKLIN MFG. CO., SPRINGFIELD ILL. U.S.A." underneath the bottom, and "GUY'S DROPPER, PAT. 5-2-12, 5-26-14, 9-19-16, 11-2-20, 2-10-25, 7-21-25" and "ON" on the top. It measures 4" tall, 2 3/4" wide and 3 1/8" deep and made of brass. The reflector part on the top is also made of brass with a silvery reflective finish that shows signs of use (see pix). I'm no expert, but it appears to have all it's pieces with an old fix to the hook on the back (if t is something I should look for, Please let me know). The lever on top moves freely from left to right and the small lid on top moves freely and fits snugly. It appears to have it's original rubber gasket w the bottom piece screws into the top section (see pixs). Other than a few small bumps on the bottom edge (see pix) it is in very good condition with NO RESERVE. Since all items are vintage/antique we will leave the cleaning to the buyer.
